We have an application we use at work alot thru a somewhat oldish version of Citrix. The app moves some data to the recycle bin when it’s done with it, but since it’s used via the web portal of the machine, the user doesn’t really have an easy way to empty it out.
You can probably script this but we only ever have to do it occasionally.. but, To empty all of the Recycle Bins of all the users on the system you do the following:
On Windows Server 2003 type this in a command line:
rd /s c:\recycler
On Windows Server 2008 type this in a command line:
rd /s c:\$Recycle.Bin
might take a while if you have alot of users, and if the drive is badly fragmented.
