World of Warcraft: Cataclysm —
So.. I wrote before that it’s been speculated that WoW would continue to add expansions till you get to level 110, and now with Wrath of the Lich King being a year old and the majority of players at 80, it’s about time for them to announce the next xpac.
if you know your history you will see:
Original Game released: November 23, 2004
Burning Crusade announced: October 28th, 2005
Burning Crusade released: January 16, 2007
Wrath of the Lich King announced: August 3, 2007
Wrath of the Lich King released: November 13, 2008
So.. the math sez we are due. Recently Blizzard trademarked the name “Cataclysm” , which is also known in WoW lore as “The Great Sundering” ..
During that event (according to lore) the “Well of Eternity” along with 80% of the land mass in Azeroth was destroyed. The Well was Turned into the Mealstrom, which is that swirly thing on the map of Azeroth..
So.. What does Todd think?
I dunno.. but the trend shows “it’s about time” and I think it would be nice to break away from this continuation of Warcraft III content and finally onto some actually new gameplay.
